How much does Equifax Complete cost?

Equifax Complete is just $16.95 per month. Included with your Equifax Complete subscription are credit scores and reports from all 3 credit bureaus, unlimited free Equifax credit scores, 3-bureau credit monitoring and automated alerts of changes to your credit reports.

What does Equifax Complete include?

Equifax Complete includes credit report monitoring of your credit reports at all 3 of the credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian and Transunion. You'll receive automated alerts of changes to any of your 3 credit reports by email and/or text. You'll also get credit scores and reports from all 3 credit bureaus (updated annually) and unlimited access to your complete Equifax credit report, so you can login at any time and take a look at the most recent activity. In addition you'll receive unlimited Equifax credit scores, an interactive score simulator, $1,000,000 in identity theft insurance and 24/7 customer support.

Why do I need monitoring of 3 credit reports? Don't I only have one?

You actually have 3 credit reports, one at each of the 3 credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian and Transunion. The information on the reports can vary, as lenders may report updates to only 1 or 2 of the credit bureaus. Equifax Complete provides complete protection by monitoring all 3 reports, and not just 1 or 2. Check out our “All About Your Credit Report” section for more information.

Does Equifax Complete protect my entire family or just me?

Equifax Complete is an individual plan. However, once you sign up they offer a significant discount on adding family members. The discount ranges from 20-35%, depending upon how many people you add.

How can I protect myself against identity theft?

Signing up for a credit report monitoring service like Equifax Complete is a critical component in the fight against identity theft. With Equifax, you'll be immediately alerted of any changes or updates to your credit report at all 3 credit bureaus. You can even customize your alerts by indicating what change in balance amount or percentage you'd like to receive alerts for. Then if you receive an alert for something that seems suspicious, you can take instant action to prevent any wrongdoing.

What is a fraud alert? How can I place one?

A fraud alert is a good step to take towards preventing identity theft. Once you request a fraud alert it's attached to your credit report for 90 days. A fraud alert tells lenders they need to contact you by phone to verify a request if you, or someone else, tries to open a credit account in your name. If you can't be reached by phone the account shouldn't be opened.

With Equifax's automatic fraud alert, Equifax will place a fraud alert on your credit file and also make a request to Experian and Transunion. Additionally, Equifax will renew the fraud alert every 90 days so it won't expire.

How can I dispute an error on my credit report?

Equifax Complete allows you to file dispute claims online for your Equifax credit report. You can also check the status or result of your Equifax dispute online. After you've filed a claim, Equifax must investigate the dispute with 30 days.

How is my credit score calculated?

Your credit score is based on information in your credit report. Check out our “All About Your Credit Score” section for more information.
